Crowns are usually completed over two visits. At the first appointment, the tooth is gently prepared, and an impression is taken so your custom crown can be made. A temporary crown is then placed to protect the tooth. At your second visit, the final crown is fitted, adjusted, and securely bonded in place for a comfortable, natural finish. The procedure is typically very comfortable, as the tooth and surrounding area are fully numbed with local anaesthetic.
